WHERE to start? at the beginning of course. But how do you learn to become better at listening to and and learning from yourself? This is a constant source of frustration, and annoyance for those of you who go through the mindset modules.
CHANGING your mindset, learning to empower your journey and learning to drive yourself forwards is all amazing, but is not going to happen until you truly learn to listen to who you are. I hear so many times about people who wish they could have support on a daily basis - and you can. But in the end all the support you get needs to direct you to listen, and I mean truly listen, to what your inner voice is telling you.
THERE are so many examples of this. For example, friends telling you that going to a diet club will help you - and it will, but only if you are willing to go and really engage. People saying that you can change is amazing advise, but only if you want too. And that is the crux of the whole situation.
WE all have that inner voice, every single one of us. You know the one......the one when you see those lemon muffins whilst you are waiting for your coffee. Even when you know you know you shouldn't, you hear your voice saying "Its OK - you worked crazy hard yesterday" or the voice that when it is cold and horrible that says "no gym tonight, I just want my PJ's" Why then do we chose to listen.
IF we allow for a moment to turn over this concept. The thought process which prevents us from changing, or trying something new because we might not be good at it. We allow the voice to maintain the negative thoughts but yet not to allow the positive ones to surface. Not "Oh crap.... you have only lost a pound, you have so much more to loose." but turn that into - "Check me out, I lost 2 Kgs, Wow! My diet is so working!"
THERE are many many people who have mastered the ability to listen to themselves - and trust me that deserves congratulating. But there may be days, or weeks where these negative bias enters our lives and can be difficult to get rid off. Take a moment - preferably on your own, and really truly think about what it is that you want. And, probably more important, how you are going to achieve it.
OVERCOMING the complexity that is our own sabotage is often very tricky. When we are tired and feel low it is often hard. But if you learning to hear the inner voice which is telling you that you want to feel amazing, or have the energy that you deserve, you need to train, or dance or just move, you will be rewarded hugely. You can literally achieve anything - your goals are your own choice!
